About the Author
Helen Churchill lectures at Liverpool John Moores University and has over twenty years' experience of researching caesarean birth. Her publications include a number of papers, articles and reviews on women's health issues and include the books Caesarean Birth: Experience, Practice and History (1997) and Caesarean Birth in Britain (1993 and 2006). Professor Wendy Savage qualified as a doctor in 1960 and in 1977 became Senior Lecturer in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Honorary Consultant at the London Hospital Medical College. She was an elected member of General Medical Council 1989-2005. Published books include A Savage Enquiry, Caesarean Birth in Britain (1993 and 2006) and Birth and Power (2007).

Great so far!

I wanted to give a small review because there were no in depth reviews when I bought the e-version of this book (which really was my first reason in buying). I've only gotten through a little (I'll update after I finish) but so far it's great. It gives me the information I need to feel successful to have a VBAC. The book (so far) address a little bit of VBACs in US but mostly (so far) addresses them in England.

not what i expected

While a fairly good read the book was not what I expected. I was expecting a book wiht tips and hints laid out but it was a book of personal vbac stories. The women did not deliver in america.

Good quick read

Short but very informative, does not feel biased like most of the stories or information you get on the internet, just lays out the facts, lots of statistical information.
