This book blessed my heart. It spoke the truth as I have never heard it. I am so glad to have come out of the deception of the Christo pagan religion, and the contaminated universal religion of Christianity. Our true Messiah Yahusha is at last being recognized by humanity as King. This author has written 8 books so far and I have not only read them, but have studied them. I have double checked most of his references inside and outside of the Bible. He leaves no stone unturned to get at the facts. He includes photos, images, maps, archeology, and many more sources of which he gleans truth. He includes opposing views giving those sources as well. He is truly a man you can trust. Rav Shaul displays a unique understanding of the Mysteries our Creator hid inside His Word for His children to discover if they would seek Him with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength.

This author communicates the truth unlike any other teacher of the Bible you will ever read. His grasp of Israel, the Covenants Yahweh made with creation, the "New Covenant", Yahweh's plan of Salvation as revealed from Genisis to Revelation is not matched by any other author or teacher of the Word of Yahweh to date. To many musicians, rhythm is something that is done by the hands and/or feet, representing mathematical divisions. But as Reinhard Flatischler makes clear in this engrossing study, rhythm is an internal force that exists in the foundations of life (breathing and heartbeat) and is best experienced through movement and vocal sounds. One quickly discovers that being able to feel rhythm through the entire body gives musical performance (especially drumming) a great deal of conviction. The book combines historical and cultural information about rhythm with exercises designed to make one more aware of rhythmic pulse land subdivison. Some of the material is based around the Indian system of assigning syllables to different subdivisions. Singing "ta ke ti na" may seem exotic at firsts, but it's not all that different than counting "1 e & A" except that it proves to be more sophisticated, especially with groupings such as five and seven, in which the Western counting system falls apart. Flatiscshler's exercises help one discover the character aof different subdivisions as opposed to the mere arithmetic involved. The corresponding CD gives relevant examples of the subjects discussed in the book..All are enlightening. -- Modern Drummer

About the Author
Reinhard Flatischler is a composer, percussionist and pianist and pioneer in the field of creative percussion. He has been a prominent force in introcuing Korean and Brazilian percussion into the Western music scene; an ambassador of rhythm both as a performer and teacher. After graduating from Vienna's Academy of Music, Flatischler traveled to the parts of the world where sounds were exotic to his European ear. In India, he studied tabla; in Cuba, he learned the art of Latin Ameraican percussion; in Brazil he worked with the major samba schools; in Korea he was initiated into the secrets of shamanic music in a profoundly personal way. Since then, he has been developing and implementing TA KE TI NA, an educational process that creates rhythm consciousness through the interaction of feet, hands and voice. It is now used worldwide in therapy centers and music schools. He is the founder of Megadrums, a dynamic global percussion project which units indiviual percussionists from all continents.

I found this book in a public library, categorized as a percussion music composition book. It includes some composition ideas, but they're mixed in with a lot of philosophical musings about the meaning of rhythm, and a memoir of the author's adventures in learning about drumming in various cultures around the world.

The memoir aspect might have been an interesting book (or long article, or if it were published today rather than in 1992, a series of blog entries), but it wasn't what I was looking for on a composition shelf in the library. (The copyright page of the book places it there: 781.224, so that's presumably where the publisher wanted it.) The philosophical musings seem better suited to a musical culture book, or perhaps a New Age philosophy book, than to a composition book.

For a reader interested in all three aspects of this book, it may be a worthwhile read, but the percussion composition content was too thin for me.

Mind opennig book

The author explains what is rhythm, and how we can understand it. He describes his hard search for the meaning of rhythm.
The book should be carefully read. It is not for casual readers. I had read the book several times during past years and never managed to understand it.
But suddenly, the explanations turned clear and evident. Lots of my unsolved doubts and questions were answered.

The philosophy of Rhythm.

This is a great book, Flatischler focuses on the philosophical and spiritual aspect of rhythm and it's basic principles, he writes about how rhythm affects the body and spirit and how it can heal.
He explains all the basic principles of pulse and rhythm and how this can be found in rhythms all over the world. This is one of the best books to start with if you want to study rhythm but I also highly recomend it to all musicians (I had been playing the piano for many years when I read it and it tought me a lot).
You should also check out Flatischlers great drum band "Megadrum", it includes one of the greatest percussionist on this planet, excellent stuff.
Three other recomended rhythm books "The healing drum" "The drummers path" and "A Rhythmic vocabulary".

Every Day Deserves A Chance - Teen Version

I wanted to read this book to see how it would minister to teens. I am far from a teen. This book has stories that will hook the teens in reading more. I consider the first story the best. It has testimonials that will make teens think. It is loaded with thought provoking messages and ways to carry them out. I believe that it also gives practical ideas that teens can do so that it isn't "a read and forget what I read" book, but a "read and participate" one. It is also in modern teen language that will speak to the teenage person. I think anyone, teen or older, will enjoy the stories and Biblical concepts of this book. I did and I am 52!

Intriguing Romantic Suspense

Lisa Jackson has written an intriguing romantic suspense with lots of twisty-turns to keep you on your toes, along with emotionally scarred children of rich dysfunctional families, and an ending you won't see coming.

Twenty years ago someone kidnapped London Danvers during her father, Witt Danvers's, sixtieth birthday party. Along with London, Ginny Slade, the nanny had disappeared too. Neither one were heard from again. Not even when Witt Danvers offered one million dollars for the return of his precious daughter...the only daughter and child he had with his second wife Katherine LaRouche.

Not long after, London's mother, Katherine plunged to her death from her residence at the Hotel Danvers. Some say it was suicide; others speculate it was murder. The police ruled it accidental.

Now Adria Nash has come to Portland, Oregon to find her birthright. She believes she's the long lost London Danvers, and if this it true, she stands to inherit fifty percent of the Danvers fortune. But first she has to convince Witt's other four children, from a previous marriage, that she's not one of the many fakes that have paraded before them down through the years.

Zachary Danvers takes one look at her and knows they are in trouble. Adria is the spitting-image of his stepmother Katherine Danvers. His siblings will not like this. They are in no mood to give a complete stranger half of the Danvers fortune even if she turns out to be their half-sister.

From the moment Zachary and Adria meet, the attraction is overwhelming and torturous for Zachary, because he'd once had a short-lived affair with his stepmother. Adria reminded him too damn much of a woman he wanted to forget forever.

Adria tries to fight the attraction but it consumes her and horrifies her at the same time, because Zachary could be her half-brother! She begins to doubt she's London, because there could be no way she would be this attracted to a man who shared her blood. If they acted on their lust and it turned out she really was London, they would be guilty of an unspeakable, forbidden act.

Someone doesn't want the truth known about London Danvers and the circumstances surrounding her abduction, and they are willing to go as far as murder to keep the secret buried.

As usual, once I start a novel by Lisa Jackson, I run home from work, toss on my pajamas, hop in bed and start reading. SEE HOW SHE DIES is one of Ms. Jackson's best.

exciting romantic suspense

In 1993 Adria leaves her Montana home to travel to Portland, Oregon where she hopes to learn the truth about whether she is the long lost and thought dead daughter of deceased business mogul Witt Danvers. Witt's three children from his first wife are unhappy that someone once again claims to be London, who vanished twenty years ago. Seven years after London vanished, Witt's second wife, her mom Kat, died in what was thought was a drug induced suicide. However, Kat's killer realizes that Adria is London and plans to rid the chit the same way her mother was disposed of if necessary.

London's half-brother Zachary does not believe that Adria is London. However, when incidents to frighten Adria occur, he becomes protective. Worse he begins to fall in love with his half-sister and she reciprocates though both know this is taboo. As the "stalker" raises the ante to attempted murder, Zach tries to keep her safe though he struggles not to bed her.

This exciting romantic suspense novel hooks readers from the moment that Zach escorts Adria from the family hotel until the final confrontation. Readers will need to adjust to the swinging back and forth between 1970, 1983, and 1993, which can get confusing. Still the cast is solid as the key players have distinct personalities so that sub-genre fans will know this rewrite of TREASURES is worth the read.
